to be honest matey stick with electrical diagnostics etc... Get yourself a Snap On Solus and go that route. Pretty much all cars now have insurance approved alarms as standard so the market has dropped out. I am Thatcham Approved to fit alarms but even now a lot of insurance companies require VSIB approved certificates (VOSA require this aswell for SVA purposes).
If it were me diagnostics all the way (mobile diagnostics etc)

as said fitting car alarms and immobilisers isn't what it used to be in the 90's.
I work part time with an auto electrician who has had to move on to commercial vehicle electrical products to pay the bills, ha has a new bmw and boxter so he is doing ok!!! lol
