2 questions i brought a laptop from pc world it didnt come with a xp disc as it was already loaded onit now its slowin down was gunna give it a clean an reinstall but cant for the obvious reason.

Q 1. Do they owe me a disc

If not

Q 2. Where can i gel a cheap disc asall i can find is £130+

didnt get anything wiv it i dont want a cracked copy had 1 on my old home pc aint worth the hassel like ya say

if you read the installed user manual it should have a restore option which you can use at bootup.

so i can wipe the hard drive start from scratch and i SHOULD BE able to boot up smellin all fresh an clean ?

You can't wipe and re-install with a RESTORE disc or a RESCUSE disc. You need a RE-INSTALLATION disc to do this......

right so any ideas on places that sell them cheaper than pc world or my local comp shop who wants to bend me over and lube me up then play hide the mouse.

I had this problem with my laptop recently. Ring PC worlds helpline and they will talk you through the rebuild/restore process. It's all on the Hard drive just in a different partition which you can't see normally.

I haven't got any discs with mine either...... all I do is start up hitting "F11" and it restarts as if i've turned it on for the 1st time....

as above,on mine you hit one of the 'f' buttons on bootup and it will restore it to how you bought it....as above,read the user manual and search for system restore and it will tell you how to do it.
