fooking wheel nut
can anyone shed a bit of advice on how to get my fooking wheel nut off
ok so the story is got a new set of big brakes and calipers waiting to go on but cant get one of my wheel nut's off
basicly what has happened is it has gone from a 10mm to a approx 14mm
took it to a garage today and even they couldn't get it off, what has happened is it has cracked and filled the alloy,
any suggestions
thanks

It Wasnt Me!
put all the other wheel nuts back on tight to take the pressure off it, then smack a socket on that's smaller, 2 sizes smaller so it cuts in? then give it a go
Or be a monkey and drive round the block with that one wheel nut on

just drill a hole through the nut
using progrissivly bigger drills until you get to the 14mm one needed to get through the stud
you will need a new stud and wheel nut (obviously) afterwards but it's the easiest sollution and you don't need to resort to drastic mesuares like removing hubs etc
start off with a 6mm drill and go through as far as you can (use the new stud you are going to use to replce the old one to figure out how far you need to go) before switching sizes
just make sure you get the hole centered as it's a lot easier to drill through this way
eventually you will drill the threads off of the nut and it'll fall off with good drill bits and a competent monkey opperating, this shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes
