gates GPA cossie timing belt

Gates 5248xs, same as Citroen/Peugeot group 2.1 diesel.
Interestingly I've spoken to gates alot about this and the genuine Cosworth spec belts are of the same spec as when the engines were built and Cosworth haven't changed the spec.
5248xs is a newer/stronger/better belt.
Grp "A" type belts are a bit of an unknown, although I've seem them sold as such with normal gates numbers on them.....
Thing is, std interval is 36k change, does anyone leave it that long? 20k is about right, just be careful with the tensioner stud tightness.
Whilst on the subject, most tensioners for the Cossie are made by INA, just some come in a really expensive Ford/ Grp "A" (!) box and others come in a cheaper aftermarket box. I know what I'd do.
Go for the Gates.
