Has anyone used www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk?

I applyed for a contract with them yesterday and got sent this through today...

The data protection act only covers personal information, and NEVER from the individual to whom the data is referring.

So that bit of it at least is a load of bollocks, personally i wouldnt give them my money, but its up to you.

alot of companys do it now with phone contracts, it takes away the risk of you not paying your bills. deposit is returned after x amount of months of bills paid on time. If one company is asking you for a deposit chances are others will too.

Many companies are now taking deposits, personally I would by my phone from a shop so you have somewhere to go when it all goes pair.

then thats why you got asked for a deposit..a mate who i use to work with has got a sales position there and he tells me all the tricks etc..just be lucky you weren't asked for a 500 quid deposit as sum people do and pay

their based in crewe or the online sales team is anyway

It does not matter who you got to for a mobile phone... ie carphone wharehouse, the link etc... It is the network provider that as asking for a deposit as you have bad credit or no credit history. If it was vodaphone that asked for the deposit through onestop phone shop then even if you got to vodaphone.com they will still ask for this deposit.

i got asked when i tryed 4 a contract fone wiv voda so went to o2 instead and they didnt ask 4 anything

I had this 8 years ago with Orange... I paid £150 and basically it came off my bills after 6 months

I got my contract from them and nearly 2 years on no problems at all. Wasnt asked for a deposit though.

Your deposit will actually be paid to the network (ie Vodafone, Orange etc). As Steve said, this is credited to your account after a given number of months, nothing to do with one stop whatsoever. It's a network thing nothing to be concerned about matey.
