anyone saying they would sooner have "any cossie" than "any nova" hasnt really though it through IMHO
There are LOADS of cossies out there that there is absolutely no way i would consider swapping my nova for because:
a) they would be a lot slower as a road car
b) they would be worth less money
c) they wouldnt handle as well
d) they wouldnt brake as well
e) they are far more rotten
f) they arent worth as much money to break if i crash them
g) they would be slower up the strip
h) they would be slower round a track
There are loads of crappy rotten 3K saphs out there that arent worth a wank and quite a few really tasty nova's a really good example in fact being the guy who started this thread's old nova, i would MUCH sooner have that than about half the cossies on this forum TBH for all the reasons ive listed above.

got to say, I don't mind Nova's really, as a 2.0 16v XE Nova is a rapid little car... But to say you would have one over an Escort Cosworth is a little bit silly now isn't it?

if you've spent lots of money on a sierra as opposed to nothing on a nova, the sierra will be the better car
but, at the same time, there are not that many "bad" cars out there now because people know they can get rid of and STILL make money by breaking them so your points b and f aren't as clear cut as they may seem
but, i'd still rather have a nice cossie than a nice nova
