car storage
been keeping my escos at my fathers mates garage its an ex ford dealership its been there a few months and now he wants to start charging me 10 quid a week would you pay it or not cheers

If its locked up and safe then yeah I would but the way you gotta look at it is if it were you that were keeping someones car in your garage would you mind?
10 bar a week aint too bad. Do you use the car at all or is it just being kept there?

Provided it's secure, then it's as good a place as any to keep it.
But you now have to think about if he is charging you to keep it there, whats the situation going to be if something happens to it? Since he is charging for it, should he not take on some responsibility for it's safety?
I mean, you rent a storage space at Big Yellow Self Storage, for example, and if someone breaks in and nicks all your stuff then they are (at least partially) liable, since you are paying them.
Whats the deal gonna be with your dad's mate? And don't say "ah well he's a friend" cos they are the first ones to screw you over when something goes tits up. Never mix business and friendship pal. Have it all set out and written up - no one can wriggle out of anything then.....
