Default Battery Relocation

Has anyone done it ??

I want to move the battery from under the bonnet to in the boot to make some room

Is there anything I need to know / do ? I was goona weld a battery tray into the boot, run a big ass power cable forward to the engine bay and have a couple of battery style posts in the engine bay with everything connected up as it was to the battery.

Is this how its done or am I being a nugget and missing something?

Ta

Product ref 315 would be a good start.

Hope you have the battery well secured in there Laurie.

Have only ever seen once what happend to a car that rolled over and had a metal lid on the battery box.... dont want to see it ever again.

Ive got a Varley Redtop in a Burton battery box with cut out close by. You can also see the through-panel battery terminal used on the bulkhead. The battery cable leads to the front inner wing where all the original cables meet, ie starter motor and power feeds into the loom. Its all insulated from the body by a cotton reel rubber block.
