Woo hoo, easy sale
Had my sisters fiesta to sell, parks it out on the road on Saturday with a ticket in it. That was at 3pm, at 6pm a bloke calls me and i go out and meet him.
He returns the next morning with his misses and buys it
Was up for £995 and he bought it for £975. Result, pitty the mone has to go to my sister but hey ho, atleast it has helped her out.
I was fortunate that the guy had been to view another car that was a rust bucket and saw mine on the way home so stopped for a nose, with 8 months mot and 10 months tax and a car that was clean and genuine he didn't seem to want to muck about.

love those sales
sold my first car (106 xsi) in about the same time, put it on autotrader, about 20mins later phone rings guy comes, places deposit and i removed ad.
still had another 2 calls in that time as well though, those 1.4 100bhp XSi's are really hard to come by

Had a few like that now, My S1 sold within a few days, but have had several cars sell just by parking them on a busy road with a for sale sign in it within hours.
Suppose it is down to the car and the price aswell as my sisters Corsa didn't shift so she is keeping it.

reminds me of when i sold my series 2
it was up for a bargain @ £1700, and the guy who came to buy it (has been on here a few times), came from birmigham to see the car.
looked it over, took it for a drive, and then said so shall we talk money.
i said "its up for 1700"
he said, "would you take 1680"
i choked and said yes.
he seemed happy as it was 20 quid to stick in the tank to get him home.
cant seem to shift this fiesta though

sounds daft but one thing i do is stick half a tank of fuel in. £15 - 20 fuel, but the look on people faces when they see they are getting half a tank of juice for free.
Every car I have ever brought has been on the red, and to me it says cheap skate. The one car I bought that had half a tank in really made an impression on me, it wasn't until after the sale that they guy mentioned the fuel gauge read wrong and the needle stuck on half way so it was actually on empty
