Anyone got a 3g Windows mobile? Or an XDA Exec?
Just looking at other stuff besides the N80 (see previous post) and have seen these Qtek 9000/XDA Execs. Anyone got one? Are these 3g and what are they like to use? DO they play music/movies etc? Memory cards?
Only downside is the camera sucks

I'm on O2 3g though Doug so that's not an option, plus the camera is below my requirements. I may have to just get an N series again with a 3.2 cam but I want Windows and MSN Messenger!

Hi mate
I have an XDA Exec - which is 3g, and also is unlocked out of the box to work with any network!!
I find it very good, but I have used pretty much every type of pda beofre it. On that basis, I have simply gone for a pda with a phone in the XDA, and as such I can live with the size of it.
Ref the card slot - it has a normal SD slot which is compatible with most cards. I use a 2GB card in it which has a couple of movies and other bits and pieces on it.
To use it for movies, the best way is to use beta player which is free software and has all the relevant codecs etc. Dont waste time compressing the films, just buy a big card and watch them full size.
If you do lots of travelling they are very very very good - my wife has anj ipod. We started watching films on a flight at the same time. After mine finished, I had about 70% of my battery life left. My wifes ipod gave up 10 min from the end of her film!!!
Finally - battery life is a bit of a problem. They will generally need charging once a night (at best every other day depending on how much you use it). On that basis, you need to consider whether this is for you.
So in a nutshell - if you want a PDA that is a phone, then you wont get better at the mo. If you want a smartphone - try the new O2 XDA IQ
