PC help required please...........
Hi my PC started going slow so I had a look what was going on and I had 42 windows task manager programs running at once 
What is causing this

Do you mean 42 programs showing in your task-manager, or 42 instances of "taskmgr.exe" or whatever it's called?
If the former, post a screen-grab of the task-manager window in here, and I'll see if all of the processes can be identified...
