Loads of my mates went to Birmingham Uni, and my brother's just graduated from Loughborough.
Having been a student for 5 years, I know what makes a good Uni town!
Loughborough is based around the Uni - there is so little else to do there, as the town thrives on the influx of students. It means there are no townies, but it also means the place is dead in the holiday time............. Did enjoy many visits up there though, and have some very incriminating pictures... drinking beer off the floor etc.....
Been to Brum a couple of times now..... A lot nicer than I thought it'd be!
Stayed with friends near the Uni, and spent a week on the beers - Broad street was quality, got chucked out of Ronnie Scotts (I think), but had a really good laugh.
A lot safer than I thought too...... Last time I stayed at Rich/Sean's house, I reluctantly left my 205 GTi in the car park of TGI Fridays overnight as I was wankered, and it was still there in the morning!

hi all, thanks for all your advise... both helpful and 'informative' hehe.
not getting my hopes up but i rang birmingham for advise today on physio and they said that if i write a good report
(hehe) on my work experience then they will give me a place for this year...
doesnt sound much but considering its the most popular uni course and this uni had 2000 applicants for 90 places its pretty impressive, as the course is already full... guess they like me
