Default clifford alarm with

engine start m8's just pick a car up and it's got engine start but no instructions I've got the ignition lights to come on but no cranking of engine do u have to push a couple of different buttons?

wiggle the wore where the starter is mate, other than that its the button with a stat on it and the head lamps should flash twice then the car starts

if it dont then check to see if the fuse is blown

It should have some method of checking the car is in neutral, make sure that is still working.

vey few manuals have that on em,,,,, i know that my mates aint got that function,,,,,,,,,, and yes i found out the interesting way

They ALL have that feature as standard. You have to activate the start feature whilst sat in the car with the engine running, then you get out and arm teh car as normal, this will stop teh engine and lock the doors, the unit then knows that unless the doors are opened or an alarm condition was triggered, the car MUST still be in neutral.

The installer may have removed teh safety feature so that the turbo timer will work at the same time, but risks prosecution from the law if he has done so as the car is rendered illegal once it leaves him without the safety features. A car that drove through the local shell petrol station recently proved this point just nicely... ROLFOL.

well when i had my one done years ago i had to sign a form to accept i was told it aint legal and my mates can be started in gear

i cant see howyou could fit a inhibitor switch to a old cossie ect,,,,,, im prob wrong but ive never seen one on a manual motor but then i dont fit car alarms for a living either

You have to read what i wrote Ginge, there is no inhibitor switch, i explained precisely how it works a moment ago.

oh sorry, i get exactly what you mean now,,,,,,,,, it may have that, thats a cool idea as its a function that you never know is there,,,,,,,, but works

never knew they done that now ,,,,,,,, see why clifford are not crap alarms people

A friend of mine accidently pressed her intellistart whilst out shopping, she came back to her escos pushed up against a range rover women! lol
