Inputting Radio code

Hi i have just fitted a std stereo (RDS2006) back into the car I think I have the code, how do i type it in??

say the code was 2345 you would press

button '1' twice, then
button '2' three times, then
button '3' four times, then
button '4' five times

It is a seperate unit, and has no numbers.

think the code I have is wrong may need it decoded.
