What's ya fastest
G'day how are we going? I just wanted to see what the fastest untubbed (sure diff mods and that but tubs have to be untouched, stock not flared) car over the 1/4mile. We have a holden (RB30) 6cyl doing a 8.91 @ 157mph. Here is the link you do have to join to get the vid but there are heaps to download. Have fun.. http://www.fullboost.com.au

Boosted 122 cu in
Untubbed car with stock suspension in the states are running 7.40's at 192mph+ on Drag radials.
Thats a Mustang with a 347 turbo motor.
When you say untubbed do you mean using slicks?

9.3 and 4wd is Keith.
Shame in Oz theres a GTR running an 8.2, another with an 8.7, and another with a 9.0.
Im suprised he only mentioned an 8.9sec untubbed car, as there are NINE untubbed rotory powered drag cars all running 8.9 or less over there, and at least 10 more in the low/mid 9s.
And loadsa others.
I like this class, as they all have very similar (but most lower spec) engines to the one for my GTR

Your right
Yer there are a few quick brap braps and 4 cyl's running some quick times. But the best rotary is a newzealand rotary..(a small island near us lol) Beacuse it's over there and you can't hear the bloody thing haha.. No only joking. Wack a turbo on most things and they sound good . We have quick 1/4 mile cars because the roads are so shit over here we can't go to fast for to long. + the kangaroos hurt when ya hit them.. So we have to get it over and done with asap. I have to say i did pick the VL beacuse i have one with a RB30 bottom end and a RB25 twin cam head running 9psi on low boost and 16 on high. She has 300hp at the rear wheels. Yet to get it to the city to have a run @ the 1/4 but getting times down on the gtech. Hope to run low 13's on street tyres. Ok have fun all..
