Its a shame its legal to do that.

Anyone wishing to do the legal thing with it, would be able to buy a scrapper anyway!

surely its not legal to replace a cars ID with the ID of a scrapped car!!!!

Thats RINGING.......and defo illegal. No wonder its hard to find a good legit cossie with folk willing to do stuff like this!

I think the DVLA look on ebay, monitoring auctions like this. I think they can destroy the ID too..

its not illegal to remove the numbers, but to sell and buy them it is.
plus ebay dont allow it, ive seen jokers on there before selling car id's for erst etc, i report all of them like this one, the wanker shouldnt get away with it

Rogersport used to sell I.D.s and you still see them for sale here and there. You can buy old Mini ones at boot sales, etc although DVLA have inspectors that go around noting them down if they get a chance and delete them.

So, until the law is changed nothing can be done, not even after they have been sold, maybe the guy wants to make a decorative wall plaque with them

At least eBay don't want them sold on their auctions, that's a step forward
