as a daily road car defo not an rs500-but did pete use his 3 door as an everyday runner?

as i have already said i would have a subaru as an everyday runner as i like the way they drive and so cheap(my n reg wagon was £1600!).whereas an evo 6 is what....£10k?i gave £5500 for the evo4 and was just so disapointed.

rs500 is nice to own and is special(and depreciation proof!).but definately not an every day runner.

where has pete gone?????

Mike, do you mean Paul Baileys car?

If so, his YB engined RX7 will be on track at National Day, because the new engine for his Escort Mk 2 wont be ready in time.

Nope, I mean the one that Steve (AKA Stavros) posted up a few months ago. I have pm'd him to ask if he has anymore photos or if it is finished .

Defo the evo for all round reliability handling & looks & if you want more power there is Norris designs & so on..

i love mine

Rs 500s are great but they are getting rare so best kept as show cars preserve them

What's the point having a 500 though when Pete has just sold a very nice sorted 3dr?

For me it would be the 500, but I guess that's why I'm on this site and not a Lancer one!

Anyone know which Lancer was released the same year as the RS500?

Evo. As you just sold a proper 3door and a 500 will probably be a let down until you spend loads on it to get it to the spec of your 3dr.

Been there, seen it, done it, got the T-shirt . But I would like another again one day actually . But at the moment, I can't justify it .

I have in my mind an ultimate spec one, that should my numbers come up, I WILL build (so never then ). You may be surprised to know it would only be around 460-470bhp, but be super responsive and with the steering mods to give it more lock, I'd like to go drifting with it as well .

I would also like to say, that on the ROAD, my Sapphire was more fun than the Escort. But on track (where you can explore the limits of traction etc), the situation is reversed, as the Sapphire with 500+bhp was too frustrating with all that wheel-spin.
WANNA LET US IN ON THAT SPEC YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

JUST OFF TOPIC HOW MANY MILES DO YOU GET OUT OF A SET OF YOUR TRACK TYRES. LOOKED AT THEM ON SUNDAY WHEN YOU CAME OFF TRACK AND THEY WERE ROASTING WITH THE BASHING THEY GOT. SORRY

Not really, took me a few mins, as I just cut and pasted my Sapphire info and changed the bits I would change if I did it again.

How do you make that out, as it would just be the shell that I would be using given the spec I have listed - what cross-over parts can YOU see ?
