I got 27 mpg on a trip to France last week. (1100 miles)
Steady speeds of about 90-100 mph all the way.
Sapphire, T38, cam's, 788cc's etc..
btw, no closed loop.

Thats correct Milkman. Mine's Ash Black. Its often at the nook aswell, geeting dvd's from blockbusters. Getting some paintwork touched up on it next week (stone chips) then when i next check mpg, if its no better could be due a tune. See what happens. Its a long way to go though to Stu's but I want to take it somewhere with a good reputation. Don't know of any round here. What about Revolution in Gateshead, are they any good? and I remember buying gear from Swift years ago but I don't know if thats still open. Last time I had an RS ( 10 years ago) I would take my Fiesta RST to Well Lane but thats a canny hike too. Any ideas would be appreciated

Alright Davey,
Nice to hear from you. It looks nice in that picture mind, I would just keep it for sentimental reasons!! Nah seriously, me and the wife are still well happy, even if it is a bit on the thirsty side.
Hows the Focus doing, back on the road yet??

Over the moon mate, honestly. Its going to me mates body shop next Monday to get stone chips done, and them two little spots. I've told him to look after it.
So you reckon it doesnt need tuned or anything. Just seemed a bit thirsty cos it seems alot worse than the Evo. Unless Jill is giving it a good caning when I'm at work. Thats probably what it is plus the air con has been on abit.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
iTrader: (2)
went down in a 2wd saff with a blown exhaust manifold gasket , done 315 miles from full to the top of the red on the way down , we sat mostly at 80mph.
On the way home I got 353 miles from top of tank till the light came on. I reckon it was around 30 to the gallon.
the car is around stage 1 tune

Something must be wrong. After working it out and getting 17-18 I thought it must be down to driving with air con on etc.. but give it its weekly fill and done the sums again to find it dropped to 15mpg.
Gonna have to let someone have a look but its just getting time. Anyone any ideas?? I would expect it if it was getting thrashed but its not. Just plods around the doors!!
Thanks for any ideas
