Do you find that on normal TV signals the quality is worse than low def TV ?

My old Sony CRT is miles better than my new LCD HDTV on a normal DVD player, so much in fact that I've put the LCD in the kitchen and kept the CRT in the lounge.

i must admit i thought the tv pic would be better, dont get me wrong its really good, but not a great deal different to my old 28" widescreen, but compared to the 360 on HD, its no where near.

I guess because it has to stretch a none HD signal to cover the screen it looses sharpness.

I've put a HD signal through it and its great, just a shame it don't like normal stuff.
