Think ive biten off more than i can chew!!
Well as a few of you know,i got my self a little Renault 5 GTT to have a play with now the cossie has gone..
Well its a mates old car,been standing for AGES,and i know it needed abit of work...
BUT bit has turned out to be a RIGHT wallet rapper!!!!!!!
Well theres a front brake disc,so you get the general idea!!
So far,had to buy a new turbo,new brakes all round,4 new wheels and tyres,Grp A headgasket,AND STILL got to respray it,mount my cossie 2wd cooler on the front,cossie air filter,cossie fuel pump,Grp A carb,suspension,and loads more...
But cheers to whippy,as he`s give me some stg 3 head,and a 4 inch scorpion for it!!!
Heres a few shots as it stands in me garage at the mo...
FUCKED,but if youve seen my other cars,it will look great,and hopfully go well when its done...
Wheels i refurbed and painted at work the week end (cheers Martyn)

Aye, we never told the insurance that the life policy was just for your motorbike........so it will still be valid when you smash yourself to bits in the 5

But when my mates R5 got hit by a land rover the engine came right through the bulkhead and ended up on his legs nearly If you need any other bits i've still got a load of spares in the shed from when i had mine that i'd be happy to get rid of

This ought ot be interesting - you never see any R5 GT on the road anymore. No Astra GSI MKII, No Uno turbo, No Calibra or Cav GSi 16v's. Looks like only the RS have stood the test of time!

Jake,, Ive just fitted a GT Tuning Gp a set up on it,so as long as its set up right (which it WILL BE) it aint blowin for shit,unless sumthing mechanicly goes wrong..
Dan, I know mate,he txtd me a few days after buying it..
To be honest,i wouldnt have it back,ok im with a LOT WORSE car now than the 3dr,but as ive said in the past,and il say again,i have ALOT MORE fun building a car,then driving it...STUPID i know,but ohhh well,thats just my STUPID mentality!!!! But main thing is,NO ROT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats all i was worried about,but looks like im ok...
Havin a few mounting/fabricating issues with the cossies I/C,but i got a EVO7 cooler ina RST,so il get this cooler in here!!!!
ETA till on the rd, 2months,and counting!!!! Wanna mot and tax it Oct 1st 2006 or before...
