what loom to put a zetec in a mk4 escort

Default what loom to put a zetec in a mk4 escort

as above really considering puting my ZT in a mk4 escort and sellin the 1.8 130bhp fez , would i need a zetec engine loom and then cut the 2 in together ? also are the 1.3 shafts and hubs the same as ERST ones ohh and fuel lines the same?

as far as the loom goes, get hold of a complete zetec engine loom and about 3" of the other side of the plug it connects to the car loom in.

on this plug there will be:

black/green = ignition live
brown/green = water temp gauge
black = 4amp ignition live
brown = earth from fuel pump *RELAY*
red = 4amp perminant live
brown/wite = earth
green = revcounter (the revcounter should work as normal with no messing about)


thats all you need to do, when i put the engine/loom into my xr2 i took out all the emission control valves and shit which all together is about 10 or so wires, can take em out or leave em in its upto you.

if its a carbd model the engine going into you'll need to make a fuel pump circuit with relay for it to, but thats easy enough.

nice one stu , but what about the CPS ? and everything else like that on a zetec engine ?

its all self contained in the engine loom, all the sensors just go straight to the ecu, theres just those 7/8 wires that branch off to the main loom you need to worry about.

i am going to use a full mk 4 3i efi loom. there are web pages detailing what the pin changes are if using fiesta turbo managment
