Like Keith says I use mine every day in the Summer and love it but always take it off the road end of Sept and buy a smoker like a Saph Cos or something. Would never use it in the Winter just no fun. If you do use it in the winter I would definitely buy a hardtop and good luck in the snow

As said above http://forums.seloc.org/portal.php is about the biggest Lotus forum out there.

Elise is just a different type of car you cant compair it to a cossie etc because its just to different.

I always said this about my Lotus any cunt can go fast in a straight line but going fast round a cornor now thats different and thats why the lotus excels. But top end on a lotus is crap only good for about 140mph.

the yota engine in the S2 elise was only for th 111r and exige.

i think they have stopped the k-seiers now in favour of a yota with only 136bhp.

i drove mine every day from feb this year, and loved it,

fuel econmy is awesome
fun factor is awesome

and most the new one's got air con, and few more luxuries, like central locking elec windows and carpets

i'd suggest betting a second hand one maybe a year to 18ths old, due to the depreciation factor.

the reason i sold mine was i also wanted one, and so i got it, but just wqasn't goo if i wanted to take mates out or get stuff from B&Q, as it was my only car.

yeah i got a BMW now, and i love it, but i still loved the lotus.

but driving a 10k car back and forth work, seemed pointless to me
