jus put a tomcat engine in my mates MGZR 1.4,

having prolems gettin it wired in, done all wiring correct except code on ecu dont match code on key, (obviously lol) ive heard that u can ground 2 pins on the ecu to bypass this,

is this correct? does any1 know??

i head this aswell but never seemed to work to be honest, think its the wire on pin 13 of the ecu should be black

is it a turbo engine?

easiest thing to do is find an early gti turbo as there the same engines but the ecus dont have the alarm in them,


but go onto rovertech to be sure that i mentioned the rite wire as its been a while now since i done a tomcat conversion plus i just put them into maestros lol

Rovertech will be the place to go. You may be able to put the code in which disables the immobilisor.
