caged/seamwelded/turreted (rear shocks made to sit upright rather than at an angle)/5 linked rear susp/braced susp parts and mounts plus a shitload more fiddly stuff

im not 100% sure but i thought it was maybe because having them set like that makes them stronger?

More accurate suspension control and more travel plus it helps reduce tramping IIRC

Turreting allows you to run longer dampers. The damper movement needs to be at least as long as the suspension travel to allow good control
