Mr2 Turbo? They're about that money, group 16 insurance I think - 240bhp if you go for the later one and 300bhp isn't hard to get out of them.....

Or a Corrado -VR6's are good too, but not as tuneable for a similar outlay

Seat Leon Cupras are around that price and IMO far better value than the equivalent VW

God that's nice and well cheap at that money!

Sometimes I think people would be better buying stuff like that than old Saffs. It's just the FWD puts folks off I imagine. RWD is so much nicer o drive IMO.

I had the Bravo with the coupe engine (non turbo) and the build quality was shocking. The car was nice enough but I wouldn't buy another.

Why doesnt he get a good Cossie then , and get it setup properly then these "reliability" issues will not be a problem.

The 16 valvers weren't too bad mate but those 20 valvers are a cunt to work on! There's no room even with the whole stupid bonnet thing up!

The shame of it is [as with anything Italian especially Alfas] is that they look quite nice -IMO - and when they're working ok [and you've glued all the bits back on that fell off] they actually drive REALLY nicely!

What about a Capri two eight injector? Pick them up for peanuts, some really cheap ones going in Retro Ford. Even a Brooklands for just under £5k.

They look great, sound great, don't rot why not?

20valvers are wank anyhow.

16valve is the one you want, Integrale Engine, L8/P8 (IIRC) managment, well over 500bhp possible.

I wouldnt get one as I think they look shite and are FWD, but if I was gonna, then 16V all the way.

Id be getting a S14a 200SX if I had 4.5k.

Insurance numbers mean fuck all anyhow, wouldnt take too much notice.
