new clutch problem.....please help
i have just fitted a new clutch to my girlfriends 106.
it ended up being a bit of a nightmare.
but got worse at the end.
i bolted all the mounts uo, fitted the driveshafts back in etc.
then went to fit the clutch cable.
the arm that goes into the box is as floppy as anything.
it took me forever to get the box and engine to line up and really dont want to go through it all again.
what would cause the arm to be floppy?

i put it on over the shaft in the box with the clips over the arm. let me just go and check it hasnt fallen out while i was moving the box to line it up with the engine.
is it box off again if the bearing is in the but not in the right place?

if it has fallen off, you will have to undo the bell housing bolts and see it you can prise the box away from the engine and see if you can get a hand up in there, if not the box will have to come out.
Oh you have got the clutch in and fitted all correctly with the friction plate the right way round ??
