Having no opinion or experience of either tuners yet i was just wondering if any one could tell me why i should chose one over the other ? Both are approx same time/distance to travel too, both have top reputations, i know some of you have your favourites & indeed some are friends even, but being objective who shall i pick ? Or spin the bottle ?

No idea about Norris but I know Stu as a bloke and if I had a performance car I wouldn't be taking it anywhere else

use who ever you want, both excellent tuners and are very capable of doing what ever you want to your car.

I think it would boil down to which sticker you prefered the look of on your car tbh

I have used msd and they were fantastic, not used norris but not heard anything but good reports

It all depends what you are after really as they are both good at what they do. As a full big power conversion, i.e. brakes, suspension, gearbox etc, i would say NMS for sure, but if it's mapping or say stg 3 conversion or the likes then either of them are good.

Hope this helps a little and i don't offend either party

Stus experience of "real live mapping" is second to none.

They have all the correct equipment and the service is first class.

I must say the way that Karl transformed my 3dr was unbelievable, i wouldn`t take my car anywhere else, his knowledge of these cars is awesome, i`d recommend his and Ollies work to anyone

But what ive read on here about Stu, and the guys@ MS Developments as always been good comments, so its up to your personal choice my friend

any other time i would have said MSD but they had no time 2 do my engine rebuild so ive gone 2 grove (not knockin stu) but the idea ov my car mapped by ahmed haz always turned me on baby...look at ford history....he must b fookin gud

mine is going into motorsport developments shortly for a live map and what these guys can do to a car is unreal.im very impressed with their customer service and their knowledge.

not used nms but have seen some of the cars he has done and he clearly is also very good at his job.

different people will always give different accounts for each tuner-speak to them both and see what you think.

Ahmed will get you a good power figure and thats it. You won't get any drivability or reliability because it will be so close to the limit on fueling from what i've seen.

Only people to go to in my opinion are NMS, MSD, and MAD.

Not only tuners but enthusiast's too

ok, they are, but i think id go to msd purely because i knew stu before msd was msd...and lived next door to kenny, and his knowledge is also scary,...

im quite intelligent, and tried real hard to keep up but fook me,....mind boggling,...

id let either karl or kenny/stu work on my car


ive recomnended MSD to everyone i know and i make it a point for anyone who wants a proper good service to use stu and hes ALWAYS come out tops and always helped out too when he can, as for kenny,,,,,, fuck me hes a smart chappy and always willing to help too


now the bad news, think that msd has a waiting list of 6 months now for mapping


which IS annoying but thats the price you pay i guess


oh and his waiting list aint cause hes busy doing mates cars, hes just busy doing everyones cars and thats the ONLY moan people say about him, that and hes in fucking blackpool so when you wait for your car you spend loads of csh in the arcades ( or doctor who museum, you know who you are !!!!)

kenny also told me how to convert a xr3i to efi turbo OVER THE PHONE AND ALSO FAULT FOUND THE PROBLEMS I HAD WOTH THE CAR TOO OVER THE PHONE NO TO MENTION TOLD ME THE COLOURS OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD

and that was just a phone call to ask what parts i need to buy to convert the car to accept a turbo



stu set up and wrote a chip for my old cossie that had better fuel economy than my old ahmed one,,,,,,,,,,,,, he also sorted my mates car with a collins greys chip when he had a 2 second delay and thats STILL running sweet

the only complaint ive EVeR heard about MSD is lead time,,,,,, i aint talking about the time he takes to do the job but the time it takes to get it booked in with him



now thats a fair point to achive with a 6 month waiting list and two guys who works 6 days a week imo

the only complaint ive ever heard about karl norris hes he seemed to take on jobs that interested him and not everyone could be a customer of his unless he was recomended,,,,,,,,,, he does it to weed out the time wasters and i accept that but im sure others who ARNT time wasters will remeber that happening to them
