Can anyone shed light on this...
My rst is running rough, it started playing up when stuck in heavy traffic tonight temp needle shot up to red and it started chugging about, then the boost pressure dropped to 2psi and the oil pressure shot up off the red
I stopped the engine and left it a few mins and restarted it but it wont start at all now![Rolling Eyes](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
Its baffled me as to whats wrong with it![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Anyone have any ideas ?
Cheers in advance

I would let i cool down and see if it will start then,
a couple of week ago i had the same problem on my way home from a show, i got stuck in traffic,
it was a hot day much like today. due to very high under bonnet temp's the idle was getting very rough. as the traffic was stationary i turned off the engine. after about 5 mint's the traffic began to move but i was unable to restart the engine...?
having pushed the car to the side of the road and looked over the engine could find no faults, let it cool down for some twenty mint's and the it started OK.
Cheers

Cheers i will try that
I managed to get it home before i stopped it, was stuck in heavy traffic for just over an hour
so could be the problem.
I tried it about 30 mins after i got in from work but still nothing but its still red hot so i'll give it another try later

things to check
Are you getting a spark...
Is the fuel pump running when you cranking the engine...
if you have both of the above then try this, remove the air filter, with someone cranking the engine push the metering flap down about half an inch (25 mm) and then let it go, do not hold it down or you will only flud the engine, this should be done the the throttle wide open....
Cheers
