Default Cossie insurance? How much do you pay? 33??

Sick of paying £400+ every year for my Saff that I hardly use. I'm 33 FFS, its garaged constantly and does about 2-3k miles a year.

Who do people use to get quotes around the £300 mark? Just rang Heritage and they wanted £520!!

Any ideas?

Im suprised Heritage wanted £530, they insure the 3door for £330 which went up because of the higher agreed value.. You got many points?

edited to add im 34 with clean license

Thats life, paying about the same for my Saff £500 ish on limited miles. Didn't have any NCB though, got some discount for having a previous 3dr on classic insurance with them. (Boncaster, RSOC).

I paid £254 for my 3 dr with Boncaster, however for a modded 350bhp 3dr they wont do it on a classic, quoted me £609 which aint so bad i dont think.

STFU?? I was 19 once too, and paid shitloads of insurance as well mate. Get another 14 years driving under your belt and see if you're happy with £4-500 a year for a 17 year old Sierra that hardly moves.

Heard of too many people getting quotes around £2-300 to be happy paying £400+.

Income has fook all to do with it, got a mortgage have you?

Im just a foreign goon but its interesting to compare the prices. Ive also had the car for quite some time, 14 years.

I was looking forward towards a lowered price when I was getting older but it just increases every single year. Probably becuause more young people can afford these cars. Off course the price gone down quite a bit since I was 19 but the last 6 years its just gone up every single year.

I pay £550 for a full year and im 33 years old, was £400 the year before. Stupid thing is that I could insure a brand spanking new Audi RS6 for the same amount, whats wrong with this world....

Default Insurance

Paid £105 for a lay up policy with Boncaster and when I get the car out end of this month it will be around £200-£300 for the rest of the year fully comp, I'm pleased with that as I have been paying around the grand mark or over since I bought the car in 2001,

Cossie's are still money to insure even though most of them are over a decade old, that's because insurance companies know that most people that own them will not be adhering to the national speed limts and are nutters looking for more power to tear every other fucker up on the road, just like me lol

Well, I got a decent deal from Boncaster eventually, been with the scheme 11 years! Renewal was £460, got it down to £309 on their classic policy with a 3k limit and thats with all mods declared. That includes RS trackday cover and protected NCB etc etc
That'll do.

Lisa is a star BTW.
