How it's done, for those who aren't sure :

Step 1 : Send an E-Mail to a random E-Bay user, purporting to be from E-Bay, with a 'click here' link. Complete fake, the link takes you to an identical fake website where you have to 'Sign In To Ebay'.

Step 2 : Save these username/password combos.

Step 3 : Search for 'completed items' that have had massive viewing figures and bids, and nick the pictures and description. Re-list at a ridiculously cheap price.

Step 4 : Begin accepting deposits via bank transfer for, or cash/cheques to 'end the auction'. Don't end the auction until Step 5.

Step 5. Auction is removed by E-Bay. Fire up your next stolen account and repeat from Step 3.

Optional Stage 5a : Roll around laughing and chucking bank notes about until Fraud Squad show up, and probably let you off because your dad swore at you when you were a child or something.
