Well take into account your longditudinal mounted yb (mounts etc), gearbox, transmition tunnel, mounts for your transfer box and diff's.

Then matching the instrumentation ie clocks and guages, brakes and also cooling equipment as well.

Not an entirely easy job, but builds a fantastic machine.

One trick i noticed in a recent conversion i saw a couple of weeks ago wasnt a cossie conversion but a Zetec turbo running 4wd in a series 2 turbo, in the car itself it looked perfect and the seats where exactly where they were when they left the factory instead of being out a bit as you sometimes see. Also it sat as you would expect a lowered S2 to and not having funny stance.

It did have custom wishbone setup doing away with all the ford gear and sat on coilovers but its a fooker of a car.

Hoping its gonna be running at the RR day at AVA in september

Bet that goes like a coont

MK3, you have to run about with it in primer for a while before the new panels are painted. Getting blown away by that would be soul destroying

That belongs to a friend of mine, approx 550bhp, quarters in 11.5 ish on gas, and early 13's without. On 14" rims

The nitrous controllers are hidden behind a velcro panel in-car, and the only other way to tell is the fibreglass bonnet, funny as fook as lights watching people look around for the big V8

Current owner missed a shift at York, dropped a couple of valves, and still managed a 13.2 without gas on that run

for the people that dont get it,.....sleeper means a car you would nt expect to be powerful,....ie: blends into everyday life,....doesnt stand out,...

as for a corsa with massive white wheels,...a pug with fook off wide arch kit, and a ford ka with chromed alloys....

best has to be the blue escort,....and in second is the cortina estate, just cause it is such a shit car....lol

Only trouble with full sleepers is they look so shit that nobody will race you, if you see that POS going fast you just expect some pikey fuck caning it and keep your distance.

A standard looking cossie packing big big power is a better sleeper if you want races

Disagree, if you were pulled up at the lights in that shonky old cortina estate beside an sti, and you pull away with him, then he guns it then you gun it, still with him then shit all over him! Owned! I would also carry a digital camera to capture the look on their face, quality! I love sleepers!
