Default Repairing a wiring loom....

Right so part of my loom is fried as some of you may know...

Would it be alright to chop out the bad bit of the loom and solder in a good bit?

no probelm at all. just make sure your soldering is up to scratch and you use heat shrink etc.

yea mate no probs. Make sure the wire is at least the same gauge, and try and use the same colours. Strip the wires off and twist them together so they lie in line with the wire. When soldering, key thing is to let the solder melt without letting the actual iron touch it - then u know the joint has got hot enough. Then either shrink wrap, or wind some decent insulation tape tightly round and it'll never let u down
