Default PSONE / GCON45

I was wondering if any of you guys could help

I just bought a psone for a bargain£15! with time crisis and a gun

only thing is I can't get the gun to work =S

Anyone know how to connect it up properly

They usually come with their own TV lead which the gun connects into IIRC - have you got that too?

yeah theres the gun....which goes into the console, and out of the connection to the console comes a video (yellow) lead, which i plug into my tv and it doesn't work....it says its not connected properly

No, the yellow lead from the gun goes into the gun's scart/tv cable:

ok then how does the tv get the visual signal from the psone?

It's a long while since I seen my PS1 so bear with me here

My gun came with what looked like a normal scart lead, except it had those three extra connectors, IIRC the gun went into the controller port and had a lead that went into the scart cable utilising the extra connector.

Pic I posted probably wasn't a good one to pick.

Just to add i didn't have the thing Bill has pictured with mine and it was bought new. The lead pictured on the left was all it came with and it worked fine

My tv has only a scart + aerial, hence the scart + yellow/red/white thing in the picture.

and my tv's not ancient! I wouldn't class 3yrs as ancient anyway

Do you not have a lead like this?


That links the ps with the tv via that scart adaptor thing you have in the pic!
You simply plug the wires into the correct coloured holes and the gun goes in-line on the yellow one.

I have the pooey cable that goes from ps to the aerial input on tv and then the aerial goes into the aerial input thing if you get me

I don't think it will work without the lead above mate
Mine is a ps2 but i suspect the ps1 will also have a lead like that.
Will have a look at my old ps1 tomorrow in the shed and see what it has.

sorted it now

took back the cable that links ps to tv and replaced it for something which goes to scart and has audio+video connections in-line. Free of Charge!
