I own a small turbo 1995 Excort Cosworth. TOTALLY standard.
I'm looking at raising the BHP to around the 300 mark so what would be the most cost effective way of doing this ?
I phoned Alistair at GGR in Leicester and he wanted £1195 & VAT !!!!!!
£1,404.13 inclusive.
Seeing that I already spent £1,195 on SERIOUS security for the car only last week, I cannot justify spending that amount just yet.
Any ideas ??

Thank you mate, only problem is, isn't he based in Blackpool ??

We do a conversion that gives between 285 and 305bhp depending on teh condition of the engine. It will run your turbo at 20psi.
I can package you up a DIY conversion that you can fit yourself locally and then have her checked over on teh most local rollers if required.

i would love too help you mate as that is what i think this board is about,, but i do lack experience with small turbo escorts,, so i wouldnt be happy myself giving your car back too you knowing there still might be a sensor down or something!

really i only do friends cars because i know they will do anything for me,,, but i have helped out the friends of a friends when i know its helping my friend out, and if i think they have been ripped off by a "pro"
i never except any money,,, as i think im not a pro,, so no one should pay me!

Mate, you're not doing this for the benefit of your health.
When you do the work on my car, you WILL be paid. At the end of the day, I would be paying through the nose for reliable guys to work on my car if I took it to a garage, so it shouldn't be any different if I brought the car to you mate.

What I mean is, if I took my car to a garage that I trusted, I would be paying top dollar, so I honestly believe that when Gareth does the work on my car, I should also pay him well.

Gareth, seeing as you're not charging me then mate, while you've got the car, could you also do a full valet on it, fill it up with petrol, and tax it for 12 months for me ??
