what a daft thing to come out with!!!
Like saying don't buy a car that's made out of metal.
Just because it says HSS cobalt on the tin, doesn't mean they aren't made of plasticine.. good and bad quality in everything.

So what "sort" of drill bits would you reccomend to buy?...

The cobalt drill bits I have used have tungsten carbide tips and cost a ton each. They seem to do the job pretty well....

Why you say that??

I buy drills in bulk 100 of 1.5, 3.0, 3 .2 ,3.5 from screw fix... Mega Cheap drills... Use it a couple of times and bin it! (used for metal lintals)

No point buying really expensive ones as they dont last much longer.

SDS drills is another matter.... Expensive ones last forever drilling concrete

its not always what you've got, but more how u use it.

do it at the right speed and stick some cutting fluid on it. unless were talking a drill that is nearly plastic it will do the job
