I've seen so many cars burning/burnt-out on the side of the road recently it's unreal
Glad you're ok and your brother in law is being sensible about it too![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
TVR's are not that bad, only ever hear bad press about them though
, I've had a chimaera 500 for 2 years and it never missed a beat, I'd have another any time
PS: The cerbera may not feel ask quick as your cossie, but that may be down to the power delivery which is smooth and constant, rather than the rush the turbo gives you in the cossie
You might find there's not that much in it in a side by side race. Either way, they sound

Thats the second burnt out TVr I have seen today, you were lucky though the outher was a messy piles of Fibreglass, an engine and 4 alloys ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
It was the wheels the fibreglass and the one remaining rear light which gave it away....

Can't believe it happened when I was driving it
Smelt a strong smell of petrol, then just up the road there was a big bang and the bonnet flew up with flames coming over the windscreen
Gutted![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

ive got a tvr t350c which is really tempremental.
I thought i was being wise buying one which had done 40,000 miles in 3 years (meant to me that it hadnt been off the road long and any issues should really have been ironed out by then)
Ive had it about.. 500 miles if that. First thing was a big service which include re shimming the clearances on the valves (every 12,000 miles on a speed six), next up was an EFi Fault light.. having been on a tvr diagnostic computer and seen no faults and everything fine, i later found out its a common problem, only solved with an upgraded chip from tvr. Then on a casual run up the m4 the clutch slave cylinder seals blew on a slip road. Again found to be a common problem. When replacing the seals, found everyfinger on the clutch pressure plate had disintegrated. NO dealer in the UK has a speed six clutch. AP Racing only make the clutches (£450+v), and only supply direct to tvr. I got lucky and found a 7,000 mile tuscan breaking. (£100+v). All this done i thought great, time to enjoy the car. Next thing i know car cuts out unexpectidly, Low Oil Pressure.
I have given in by now and left it with a tvr specialist. I suspect a problem with the try sump oil pumps. Seems to be pumping oil in, but not back into the tank. Scavenger pump. Oh well... I guess youve got to love it for the way it looks.
