Watch the backlash now!

Mr Duran - I think you'll find that most cossie owners love an Evo, and whilst your statement about the Ford might have some truth in it being an 80s car, most Evo owners will hapily concede that Cosworth are a good budget performance car.

Both EVO magazine and Track and Race Car rate them as a bargain performance buy for sub 5k.

Unfortunately, since most on here love Evos, your poor attempt at a wind up, coupled with your primary school spelling and comedy punctuation means that your post probably wont have the desired effect.

Nice try.

A poor 3/10.

Why has it suddenly become fashionable for Jap owners to come onto a Ford forum to slate Cossies ?

Who cares how good you think your Evo or Scoobie is. This is a Ford forum for people who actually care about Fords so will naturally defend them. You can't compare cars from different decades it is just plain stupid.

If you want to drive a very quick superb handling car then Jap is the way to go, but if you want a car with soul then a Cossie is your choice. We drive what we drive through personal choice, not because it happens to be the best or quickest thing available.

It is quite possible to actually like both Cossies and Evos, just keep your comments to the appropriate forums, I don't come on here to keep reading stupid my make of car is better than yours posts.

Official dojj translation:

Hello, my name is Duran and i have registered with this site in order to discuss a few issues with your good selves regarding a certain post relating to oriental machinery.

Namely that the majority of posters on this site have the onion that all the the posters on the offending site are female genitalia <Insert apt cartoon figure here>

Correct, I have had the pleasure of owning 2 cosworth engined vehicles, and while I am not at liberty to disclose which models they were or how I treated them or what condition they were in when I purchased them, or even how much money exchanged hands upon completion of the sale, there are several points that I feel need to be raised:
I was not happy with my purchases as they seem to have excreted themselves from a canines bottom, far worse than anything else I have driven that has been excreted from a canines bottom.
They did not handle in a way I have been acustomed to and the interious decour reminded me of a car from a much older vintage (possibly from before my grandparents were born).

Some of you have also raised the issue of driving oriental dog excrement <Insert some sort of gyrating peelable fruit here>.
Some of the vehicle mentioned are firm and, coming from a master chassis craftsman as myself, would be more than capable of outperforming my previous Ford engined vehicles. Indeed, I would wager that a normal showroom condition version would be able to outperform everything other than the upper echilons of the Ford marque.

At this stage i seem to be sucumbing to some sort of terminal spelling desease and cannot be held responsible for my grammatical errors.

Therefore I will cease writing because I feel that my point has been made clear and you are all, rightfully, quaking in your hob nailed boots.

i can be impartial as im a memner of both the MLR and PF and have owned both an evo 6 and a escos

the evo is mechanically the better car, full stop. but it IS also a good 10 years more anvanced than the cossie, so you hope so

the cossie is more of a labour of love though , if you want a ultra reliable rally slag, get an evo, but if u like tinkering get a cossie

tbh if i was to buy a new car today, the evo would be one of the cars i would consider thay are great cars i like em alot, but bits are sooo expensive ,and they are soooooo common now, that would put me off, im lucky if i see another cossie in my area once a week ,where as evos i see ten a day easy.... i hate that, they arnt special anymore....just mass produced pieces of metal

EVO

Great car.
Fantastic Engine.
Awesome Handling
Owners who dont have a clue

The vast majority of Evo owners can be summed up with the simple statement:

All the gear, but no idea

Sorry ... but

Typical my car is better than yours ...

Very sad of you mate to be honest.. I would love an evo 4 or 5 thanks .. but I also have respect for other tuned cars ...

Who cares if you have an evo .. I for one do not ... I do actually like my Cosworth and can say when the time comes it will be a choice between an evo or rx7 ....

But with your attitude it makes me wonder if I should get one .. As I would not like to be thought of, in the same way as you portray yourself.

Welcome to the site and feel free to comment further on your biased and somewhat blinkered attitude. Do you own a B.M.W. as well??
