I know on my MK6 Escort there are 4 for the front, 2 at the front on each side, 1 on the sills on one on the outer chassis rail (I think thats what it is).

My dilemma is that they are both rusted to fuck and I dont wanna use them incase it has gone all the way through and I end up putting a jack through my floor .

Is there any alternative ones where I can get it up high enough to put on axel stands?
