Knackered 1.6 Zetec
I just bought a cheap run around knowing the engine was knocking and smoking badly.
I've now stripped the engine down (1.6 Zetec), head gasket was fine, no contamination in the oil/coolant. The bottom end is fucked, only really the shells on number 4's big end (which were like wafers), BUT the smoking is also a result of number 4 bringing up a lot of oil and out into the exhaust.
Thing is, i can't find where the oil is entering the cylinder, ive got all the pistons out, all the bores are mint, all the rings are mint, gasket is fine........and it i cant ever see this quantity of oil being stem seals.....
Anyone got any suggestions?
