Default TOMTOMS Which one?

Looking at getting one don't want to spend silly amounts tho!

So i was thinking the tomtom one or 300?

Is there that much difference? Or is it better to pay the extra and go for the 300?

if you are going to buy any tomtom,,, make sure you have a quick look about the web, as most highstreet places do cracking "online" deals

Cheers for the advise guys

Currys are doing the tomtom 300 for Ł249 so maybe if it has the bigger memory card its worth paying the extra? Or does the tomtom one have enough memory for speed cameras etc?

i bought a tomtom one last BH monday and cannot fault it at all. The TTONE replaced the TT300, is the same just more slimline. The only difference between the TTONE and the TT500 is that the 500 will pair with your phone so you can use it as a handsfree kit. The TTONE will bluetooth pair to your phone for traffic/accident problems so it can divert you were necessary !

I've updated the points of Interest (POI's) to show all the latest speed cameras and cant fault that either !

Go for the TTONE mate, wont be dissapointed !!!!! oh and I have KITT2000 giving me directions !

on the tom tom ONE there's not much spare memory , just enough for speed cameras and about 5 voices.
which is all you will need, i paid for some european maps for the ring trip so had to upgrade to a 1GB memory card but they're cheap enough now

SatNav numpty here, so how do you all get on with not getting them nicked?

Do you take the screen with you or just leave them on display? I'd heard the increase in car crime was mainly with satnav's being stolen!

I saw Sexy-RS's sig' being a convertable and thought perhaps a PDA based satnav may be alot safer?

I already had a Nokia 6630 smart phone so thought i'd try TomTom mobile5 on it first as seemed a cheaper option, not that i'm tight or anything

1GB dv-mmc memory card Ł22
TomTom Navigator 5 - software & full European maps Ł96
TomTom GPS mk2 receiver Ł79

Ł197 delivered (all from ebay but 100% genuine TomTom).

Trying downloaded speed camera and traffic software today.

I just put the extra voices on my tom tom last nite.

in test modes they sound really good.

then when you use it they have some crappy impersonator for most of them!
