What would cause...

a tail shaft shearing and taking the tail casting with it.

At first we thought it was a out of balance propshaft, but that has been disgarded

any ideas

would have thought if the prop was out you would have seen oil before it went as most likly to take the rear seal first.

did you loose drive whilst moving??
