It'll work fine.. to about 250bhp! I'd say your compression ratio will be the limiting factor..

How shit are the escort rs turbo exhaust manifolds?

i have been thinking of choping up a 200sx tublar exhaust manifold to fit to my car

why the fuck will my compression ratio be the limiting factor?

i have rods and forged pistons and i would trust it to use 22psi at 9.5:1 with out fucking up with all the good components it was built with

erst manifolds 'work' up to about 350bhp.. realistically you don't want to be using them after about 320bhp..

I thought the small turbo cossie was T25? if thats the case i wouldn't bother mate. Try getting a T28 off a 200sx/pulsar they don't go for much and will get alot better results than T25.
Just look at the FRS to get over 290bhp they are moving on to GT28's and thats a more nodern T25 with lots of gucci bits[my tecnical term].

With a ZT you already have a good tourqe to be able to pull away with.

A quick spin up from a small Turbo is the last thing you want.

A Small Turbo Esc Cos unit is shite!

T35 front compressor housing and compressor wheel onto a T3 core with 360bearing and a 48 housing is what you need

Only my opinion so dont bother listening

and any advantage of what type of ex housing ie cosie or erst elbo type?

and wont the 48 exhaust housing limit my top end of the rev range?

at the minuite i have a smoking turbo that must of had a shite rebuild because its fooked after 6 weeks

and its made of

48 exhaust housing with elbow

t34 compressor wheel but the housing is from a t3 and has been milled out so the wheel will fit in the hole

sounds simular to the above turbo jano was on about

but why the fuck would you mill out the compressor housing to fit over a t34 wheel?

A t34 wheel will not be able to fit into a Std T3 housing. For this reason i would guess that the turbo you had/have is a 4x4 cosworth type and not a t34 type.

The T35 front end comes off of iveco lorries + loads of other lorrys.

Just to add:-

If the compressor housing had been milled out to take a larger wheel the effects of this are that the ACT will be alot higher as the A/r of the housing is not correct for the wheel.

Alot of Turbo re-conditioners will mill out 2wd housings and fit 4x4 wheels.

Or even use std T3 housing and mill it out for 4x4 etc...

This is not the way to build a Turbo which will last
