I use one (www.rpbvaleting.co.uk) once in a while to get the car properly clean.

All these people who say they do it themselves with tthe products you can buy down Halfords are kidding themselves.

A 'proper' valeter, ie someone who actually valets a car rather than a bunch of Kosovos who do a 'full valet' for Ł10 on a street corner in 20 mins, will spend the time, usually a minimum of 4 hours, on the car and do everything including shampooing the carpets, including the boot carpets aswell as the upholstery and use industrial type chemicals to clean things properly.

These chemicals and treatments arent available to the public they are trade only and alot of the companies wont supply you stuff until you've completed one of their training courses.

There is a big difference between car washing and valeting.

Sadly, in the same way every Cosworth is now 400BHP and everyone whos installed windows is an IT Consultant, it would seem everyone who washes cars is a valeter

i use the albainian valet company

cause you couldnt pay me 4 quid to check the oil let alone wash my fucking cars

the jobs they do is ALOT better than i can do and if they valet the interior they get a bonus when they find all my loose change down the cracks in the seats

4 fooking quid,,,,,,,,, a pint costs 3.20 in my local these days

I more often than not take both my cars to my local valeters for a hand wash and chamois dry. The lad that does it takes his time and does a really good job of it and only charges me a fiver

Neil m it was good points though. Around 8 years ago i was trained by autosmart. Beacuse of my unemployed sitiuation, i thought about setting up on my own.

Just wondered really if there really is a demand for it still, especially as bal has said, the albanians are taking over all the empty garages and stuff.

Just seems sumat for me to do as opposed to keep applying for jobs and getting nowhere
