it was mallard green but i dont like mallard so i had a pro re spray in imperial blue its the best colour for the escort cosworth as for tags under bonnet they were a bit bashed about after taking them off for re spray so waiting for posh shiny ones being made just to finnish car off!

oh and as for doors mk5 door handles look SHITE so i put mk7 doors on it to make it look a bit better plus the window motors in mk5 doors are really slow and always pack in so thought i would put 2 brand new doors on when it was painted

As you no i was with Tim that night and Chris said you only had just done running in miles when we had a bllast down white rose way and it was only on lo boost. But credit to Tims corsa it had RS Gus's 400 bhp sapphy.

A bit pissed that my cars sat on bricks again waiting to be painted and hasn't moved in the last 12 months,
But as you'll know if somethings worth doing do it right
Ive fooked up in the past with so many engines/turbos etc so gonna try and do this build right now (dollar depending )
By the way you was right that Focus Zetec Block Wouldn't work so thats now scrap i found out why i was doin Turbo's every 60 miles and it wasn't good

I think you will find that all Rod was attempting to do was point out that cars with X amount of power SHOULD achieve X speed. For example, any genuine 500bhp Cosworth will do high 170s low 180s weather / wind conditions dependent.
570-600bhp should give mid to high 180s, with perhaps even low 190s being possible with correct gearing.
Obviously this is taking into account the engines running perfectly....
