Default Jeremy Clarkson = wanker

1. For making the Nurburgring so popular
2. "Wastegate chatter" - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhh Total twat - even Michael Gambon knows more about cars than Jezzer does, and he's an old fogey actor .

Michael Gambon commenting on his role as Oscar Wilde after being quizzed about what it was like to portray someone gay: "I had no problem with taking on a gay role as I used to be a homosexual"

Journalist "Really?"

MG "Yes but I gave it up, as it wasn't for me."

Journalist "Why was that then?"

MG "It used to make my eyes water"

Absolute classic .

What annoyed me the most, was here was an opportunity to actually educate people as to what something is on a car, and they chose to take the "let's play dumb for comedy value" route. Tell people what chatter is, and how anti-lag works - don't waste the opportunity!

Surprised really, as the script editor for Top Gear is Richard Porter, who also writes for EVO - thought they would have known better, especially after Uncle Mike's letter to the mag!

i agree with that, they could have explained it fairly simply but instead wanted to be the clown......

so we now have another million or so people using the term wastegate chatter

Talking of journalists...
Someone was interviewed by one recently and when asked about 'worst bodge' commented I don't attract that sort of customer.....
Same gentleman was featured at the'ring' with his bonnet up all night/
presumably because his car is so well screwed together........!

If you're trying to get a "rise", you'll need to try harder .

And thank you so much for calling me a gentleman - I haven't been referred to as that for so long, I can't even remember who the last person was .

Porters articles are very rarely technical though. Hes a Clarkson type reviewer (thinking of the Brabus Roadster Fleet car here) So hes not that inteterested in "nuts and bolts" Same with Sniff.
