Lookin at getting on the property ladder soon and wondered if anyone had any advice as i know fook all about mortgages
Will have about 20k as a deposit give or take (you dont know how hard it is not giving the money to a tuner and get a fookin shit hot cossie
)
and basically rather than piss about with a flat if i can, want to get a house. Ive seen 1 i like near me for £170k but that within reason is the limit to what i can afford.
Will be going to a mortgage advisor soon but any tips/help would be apreciated

whats your anual income before tax, this will basically decide how much they will lend you. its normally around 4 or 5 times this income, but will change depending on your circumstances the chance of you lossing the job etc. If your in a stable job with say a 25k income, i'd expect somewhere around 125,000 plus your deposit. maby abit more if you take the mortgauge for longer. you doing it alone or with a partner?
