value my car-just curious
right i am definately not selling my car as i have only just finished working on it and i love the power it has now and will have in august when it has been live mapped by msd.
right then its an rs500 in black,bad bits out of the way first-it was cat d listed on 28/11/01.on the v5 it had 4 owners and one of them owned it from 1994-2002 -annoying thing is it probably had history,but i have none-apart from what i have done to it.
right then-since owning the car i have gone to town on it-i have fitted my old engine into it which is a good spec and reliable with big power-200 block,long studded,wrc head gasket,knife edged crank,low comp pistons,ported head,bd14 cams,double valve springs,bronze guides,vernier pulleys.4 paddle clutch
it then had msd closed loop set up fitted on l8 ecu,83lb injectors,air injectors,roose hoses in black for boost and coolant,motorsport leads,group a coil,new mongoose exhaust,t4 turbo running 30 psi at the mo but hoping for a bit more once live mapped.
bailey swirl pot,header tank,mirror breather kit.
new fuel tank fitted,new 044 fuel pump/filter.
new gaz coilover kit,new adjustable track control arms,polybushes.
hi spec 300mm 4 pot front brakes.
16" bbs alloys
brand new recaro seats in black(still have mint old ones),which cost £800.
secs monitor,boost,oil press gauges,
interior is very good-dash is uncracked
exterior has obviously had paint but the car is very clean looking-has had front wings fitted at some point.
clearly i have spent a lot on it,but it is how i want it now,not anyone else.
i know it is cat d and that does make a difference to values but at the end of the day it is one of only a few rs500's left.as i say im not looking to sell it as i love it and never thought i would be able to own one of these,but just trying to judge a value of the car as a complete package now.which includes the original rs500 engine which is sat on a pallet and the original seats.
i seem to remember conversations saying that bottom money for an rs500 is about £11500-12000,but mine has all the added extras fitted now(even though it doesnt actually have an rs500 engine fitted-but it is still with the car!).
ive seen a couple of people asking for valuation opinions recently so i thought i would do the same.
