I raced him at the pf meet and beat him quite easy tbh. Then he was itching to race me last night on the 19, anyway sent it away down the 19 was still with me at 135 then i pulled on him up to 150, so i smell a boost increase

dont know mate but i do know his car tops 140 and i dont know how the fook it does it cause all it has is chip,cam,filter its a strange thing

They do 132 standard, it is chipped intercooler exhaust and filter and a fuel mod apparently

So basically everything possible apart from actual engine work. My mates with the same mods as his used to go off the clock round to the p on mph lol. Accurate ford clocks i soppose

The thing is though everyone says my car isnt fast but its only a 1.8 non turbo and it beat that escort turbo easy last sunday and kept with chris todds cossie to 120 where he started pulling on me.

Both cars modded more than mine and both have turbos and a lot more torque. O i love the jap crap

yes mate but its down to revs as the faster the crank spins the faster the wheels spin. the teg engine is just a big bike engine witch is good for high revs . a lad from round our way had an eg civic with a teg motor and a civic ecu and it whiped the floor with an evo 7 tomie mackinen

But it didnt beat my mates escort turbo, it was thrown together and wasnt as quick as a standard teg imo. The hondas are quick because of all the electronic shit on them, what he did was like running a cossie on erst managment lol

yes mate thats the one he sold it to gary from coulby , but if it wasnt for the amount of revs that the teg could spin at it wouldnt be as fast , management can only acount for so much

I'm not disputing its the revs that make them quick, but what i am saying is, is that if ben had used ALL the integra gear it still wouldnt be any faster than a teg cause theyt weigh about the same and the teg is more aerodynamic.

I aint saying my car is a missile infact its not that quick in a straight line imo, but its good round bends and reliable thats it and why i bought it. But everyone one on here is bigging your turbo up kirky and slagging the teg off and its beat your car twice. Not trying to start an argument but its a tad annoying that people dont accept that the teg is actually alright and a good match for most fords out there just cause its a honda. If you had come past me like i was going backwards i wouldnt be bothered cause i would expect it tbh, like craigs cossie beat me on the parkway so what its a crack.

Things sometimes dont come across as they should on the net i soppose. This post was made in jest as his car seemed to go better on the a19 the other night than it did on the a66 thats it. I dont like jap cars in general and prefer fords just got sick of owning them as there getting to old to drive reliably on a day to day basis, if the st170 was as good as the teg i would have bought 1 of them FACT, but they just aint and i dont slag fords off but i do defend the teg. Remember i go to the likes of the ne pf meet in a honda which gets me off on the wrong foot for starters, a lot more people would ahve talked to me if i was in a 3 door or even in my old saph, why would i be a nicer person if i owned a ford?????????

Was identical from 2nd gear up to 135 then i started to pull on him, got along side him then had to start breaking. I recon i would have pulled a few car lenghts on him if the road was longer. So it went well but not ballistic i was expecting it to leave the teg for dead tbh as its a lot lighter and sopposed to have about the same power and obviously more torque.

I would like to add that the whole point to this post was that i was surprised how quick Kirkys car was above a tonne compared to 2nd 3rd gear, thats why i thought he had turned the boost up. Posted in a humourouse way or what i thought was a tounge in cheek funny manor but i guess not

You got to admit though you are going to get a slaging every now and then on a ford board mate ,.
You never know though they recon the price of the ST Focus will drop like a cheap ho`s draws in the next 2 years so you may have a ford to look forward to in the future they would give the teg a good run for its money i belive

I raced a orange standard 1 and to a tonne i was marginally quicker but above that who knows, could go ever way. Apart from that i think they look good on the road but up close look tacky and not a fan i'm afraid, would much rather a frs. That said the teg is a proper drivers car with no sound dedening etc i think the st would be a bit "new" for me if you know what i mean.

And ye i will take you out in it any time mate, its not rapid but i can guarentee it will make you laugh when the vtec kicks in, it does me even after 4 months of owning it

As for times 14.5@96mph 1/4 in the wet proven and the stats from honda are

Fook that 6k+ on bits THEN an engine rebuilt. I would have burnt it out by now. Thats why i bought the teg it feels like an old car in the way it drives and sounds etc very involving but is new and reliable which is what i wanted. People think that i am some proper jap mentalist who loves all the jap stuff, but the reality is i like some hondas and not much other jap stuff and will be getting a s2000 or a nsx next probably/hopefully, just because imo they are the best newish performance cars out there for the average mans pocket.
