no insurance, no MOT, no tax..
whats the situation with getting the car MOT'd..??
I'll be needing to travel about 8 miles.. Now obviously cant get Tax and you need mot and insurance..
The car currently has sorn, so do all I need is Insurance...
I really could do with being 100% legal so need definate answers

Gte insured first. You're then legally allowed to drive to an MOT testing facility. When it's passed you can take your insurance and MOT to the post office and you're taxed. Bingo.

The car must have insurance and after that you will be legally able to drive the car to and from the MOT test centre providing the appointment is prebooked and you are going straight there and back.
I phoned the DVLA a while ago to clarify this and they were pretty helpful
