right my mate has got a 205 that was involved in a robbery,BUT the key doesnt work,so....after lots of swearing i have now removed the old barrel and cut the wires to try to get it started.but theres 2 yellow wires a red and a orange wire,anyone know which is which? its a 1.9 gti btw.
when i tried jumping it off the nova it had the hazards going, a ticking noise (possible short somewhere?) and seemed to not be wanting to start, any ideas?
we're gonna get a new battery and barrel tomorrow to try that but if i still get the hazards (at twice normal speed i THINK! as i remember my old 205 indicated quickly) and ticking noise ill still be at a loss!
does it sound like i have a hidden immobiliser to remove?ive already stripped one clean out of the car!

Sounds like you've triped it somewhere, just get the new batt and barrel & see
